Book Review + Giveaway!

Hi, ladies!

What a nice spring we're having here in Northeast Oklahoma! How are you all doing? Pollen getting to you yet? I had been hoping for a bit colder of a winter (I love snow, and we hadn't had any in all six years that we lived in Texas), but we only got a few inches all winter! Maybe next year...

Well, I'm excited to get the word out about this lovely book I just read!

(And enjoying BYU's 'Nearer My God to Thee' in the background. If that one doesn't make you want to do some air conducting, I don't know what will.)

Anyway.

The Path to a Modest Lifestyle
by Amanda Leite
So yes, I'm easily distracted. Back to the book!

I recently read Amanda Leite's new book 'The Path to a Modest Lifestyle' in exchange for this review (the first stop on her book's blog tour!). What a good, worthwhile read! Only 27 pages, and it still left me feeling encouraged and edified. How pleasant when you run across one of those!

'The Path to a Modest Lifestyle' is just that- the path to a modest lifestyle!

Amanda Leite
This is Amanda's story- how she went from self-proclaimed tomboy to skirt-wearing girly girl in only a matter of hours (literally)! How neat to read others' stories and see how the Lord convicted their hearts in certain areas!

I must say: my favorite chapters were 6 and 8, 'A Modest Heart', and 'Femininity', respectively. Amanda covers the ever-challenging topic of "I can be 'modest' in my husband's baggy jeans and snow coat!", and why that still is missing the point of feminine modesty, for which I am so thankful! More authors that talk about modesty need to include modest heart issues, as Amanda did!!

My own, personal, definition of modesty that I like to use around here is:

"Modesty is the outward manifestation of humility"

This book focalizes this point, just in not so many words! It makes my heart happy.

So, are you interested yet? Good news! I'll give you a copy!

That's right. We're doing a giveaway. Right here, right now. As long as I don't get distracted by the Doyle Lawson that is now playing in my background... What can I say? Music is my blogging buddy.

Giveaway Time!!

We're giving away a paperbook copy of the new book!

Giveaway ends April 2nd! Subscribe and watch your email inbox for news on the winner!!

Now, more good news! I said before that this is only stop #1 on 'The Path to a Modest Lifestyle', right? So, for more opinions on the new book (and maybe a chance at more giveaways?!), be sure to follow along the book tour at the following blogs on the following dates!

Follow along for the entire blog tour and more giveaways!

AND, big news for you Kindle users out there, because 'The Path to a Modest Lifestyle' is free for Kindle downloads today through the end of the month (March 27th-31st)!! How awesome is that?! I'd still try for the autographed paper/sharable version, if I were you, but that's just a little bonus!

When you get finished with the little book, y'all come on back and let me know what YOU thought of it, won't you?

Have a lovely day!!
