3 Tips to Developing Your Wardrobe Using Pinterest

Hey y'all!

If you're new around these parts, my name is Kimberly, and since starting this blog [a few years ago] I have come to realize how silly it is that "fashion blogs" even exist. It's clothes. They don't matter.

Souls matter. Eternity matters. Relationships matter. What kind of cereal you're eating for breakfast matters.

But clothes are just icing on the cake. Literally and figuratively. 😉

Anyways.

I just wanted to get that disclaimer out there so everyone is reminded that we weren't put on this earth to look pretty. Don't let looking pretty get in the way of you and God's will or opportunity (which usually looks like hard work). Or humility.

But. In the case of being economical and developing the wardrobe you already have to create a set of tasteful, simple, modest, feminine outfits... we can talk about it a little. You have my permission. 😉

(Another disclaimer: I'm feeling a bit sarcastic today, if you haven't picked that up yet...)

Florals for Spring x2

Hello, lovelies!

Spring is upon us and I’m finally back with some floral inspiration for you! I hope you can forgive my lack of posts on here of late; my family has been moving to Texas and it’s been a crazy couple of months getting them settled in.

Without further ado, some lovely florals to add to your spring wardrobe!

Why I Started the Modest on Purpose Blog

Happy Spring!

Oh, dear readers and followers, I apologize for the lag in blogging lately! We all want to get back on it. The thing is, we started this blog while we were still in High School. We consoled one another that "after graduation" things would slow down and the blog would be on fire.

Hahahaha. Ha. Ha.

After graduation, my foot.

So, anyways, aside from being disillusioned about nice, accommodating adult schedules, and as far as I'm concerned, I still keep this blog running for the same reason it was opened, and after months of praying about how to say this, I have peace in my heart about sharing those details with you all now.

Why did I start Modest on Purpose?

Well, no fancy set of bullet points and Scriptures, unfortunately.

Basically, I identified something that would have helped me at a younger age, and set out to create that.

Does that make sense?

I wanted to be the person I needed to hear from when I was younger.

I wanted to write the blog I wish I could have read at 13 years of age.

Goodbye January, Hello February // by Janan

Hello lovelies!

Colder weather still makes an appearance around central Texas every once in a while, so I like to take full advantage of the lower temps every chance I get. ;)

This outfit is a little dressy, but you could definitely swap out the suit skirt and heels for a knit skirt and boots to make it casual if that’s what floats your boat. Either way, the combination would work really well.

New Year's Eve Outfit // Mykaela

Hello, all you lovely ladies! (And gentlemen, if you happen to be one! ;)

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. I had a very eventful one, a little crazy, but still great. :) We had a New Year's party at my church this year, which was super fun. We decided that instead of staying up late on the 31st (Saturday) playing games and fellowshipping, then going to church all tired in the morning, we'd have it on the 30th instead. That turned out really well, since I was away visiting friends on New Year's Eve.

This outfit that I wore to the party was one I had a lot of fun putting together.
